Forty Days of Prayer Day 25

Lord, help us to expand our vision for your Kingdom work, and to let our faith in Jesus grow bigger.

Ephesians 6:12 ESV
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

Day 25 - Prayer for the Middle East
If you follow this link, it takes you to the Open Doors USA World Watch List, showing the 50 countries where it is most dangerous to follow Jesus Christ. The second column shows the source of persecution. The map view shows the concentration of opposition.

Paul, in his letter to his beloved brothers and sisters in Ephesus, did not ignore the physical persecution faced by himself and others, but he did point to the deeper roots of this battle. As you pray for the Middle East today, pray for the Gospel to break through the blindness and misdirected zeal of those who do not know Jesus. Many lives are at stake.

Praying for those on the other side of the world puts into better perspective the battles we face at home. May God bless us all through praying for the Middle East today.
