Forty Days of Prayer Day 31

Lord, show us where we are childish and immature, that we might desire to grow to enjoy You more!

2 Timothy 2:22 ESV
"So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."

Day 31 - Prayer for EACF to Mature
There is an ethos in our culture that celebrates immaturity - don't grow up, just play, because life is all about having fun. But maybe maturity and fun are not enemies. The more mature you are, the less you fret over trivialities. The more mature you are, the easier it becomes to say no to things that are distractions from things that are really important. The more mature you are, the more deeply you can drink of the beauty of what God blesses us with because we appreciate those blessings and the costs that make them possible. The more mature we are, the more of our sin we admit and the more we embrace Christ's grace. We confess to God and to one another and we learn to live by grace.

What would EACF look like if we all keep maturing? Righteousness. Faith. Love. Peace. Let's pray against the plague of immaturity and let's ask God to help us to grow up into Christ-likeness and godliness.

Let's keep praying!
