Forty Days of Prayer Day 23

Lord, help us to expand our vision for your Kingdom work, and to let our hearts grow bigger.

Isaiah 19:23-35 ESV
"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, 'Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.'"

Day 23 - Prayer for East Asia
The text from Isaiah 19 amazes me: Egypt and Assyria, two of Israel's most hated enemies, are called to receive the blessings of God. His grace knows no bounds and His hand reaches far! I think of Asian history between China and Taiwan, and including Korea and Japan, and I think of all the tension and bad blood and enmity despite the sharing of history and the similarities. Ultimately, the problem of mankind is sin, and the only adequate solution is Jesus. Pray for the growth of the church in East Asia, and for true Gospel teaching, and for a breakthrough in areas where the love of God is needed.

Let's ask God to help us remember daily that we are engaged in a greater work than just our little lives - God is inviting us to participate in His Kingdom work, and prayer is a great way to start. Pray for yourself and EACF's part in His work.
