PRAY and ask God to meet you and teach you as you read His word today.
READ Revelation 19. Meditate on verse 7 - what does it mean to be ready for Jesus' return?
REFLECT
God - What does God teach us about Himself through this text? He reigns with power and glory.
Redeems - How does God work in our lives? He sends "The Word of God" (13) who calls us to gather and takes on the battle and wins (19).
Our - What is our identity as highlighted here? We are rescued. We are invited to be renewed, cleansed by grace (8).
World - How is God calling us to share His grace with the world? There will be a gathering from all over the earth. We must rejoice and give glory to God (7).
RESPOND
Finally. After witnessing many scenes of suffering and reading promises of judgment, we see how Creation groans and finds relief with the arrival of God. We are waiting today. God, thank You for fulfilling Your promises and bringing us to the marriage supper where we will be able to be reclothed with Christ's righteousness and goodness. Oh, to be done with sin once-and-for-all. We thank You for this gracious gift and the finality of the work of the rider on the white horse. In Jesus' name, Amen!
Prayers and thoughts for reflection from EACF staff and members.
