Forty Days of Prayer Day 4

Revelation 2:2-5 ESV
"I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance.... But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent."

Take 5, 10, or 30 minutes or more to pray for this topic. Lift up prayers periodically throughout the day. Include it in a line in your prayer before meals. Pray continually!

Day 4 - Praying for Conviction of Sin
Today, we will pray for conviction of sin. With what sins do you struggle? Pride? Lust? Selfishness? What about coldness? Laziness? Idolatry? We may have some outward signs of being Christian while being cold in our hearts, harboring bitterness toward people or God, or allowing other things (some of them good) to rival our first love for Jesus. Pray for conviction of sin. Pray for God's help to come back to your first love. Remember as well that love is not just an emotion but also a choice. Pray for both to align and that your heart will be joined to the truth of how much God loves you!

Oh, brothers and sisters, let us pray today to be captured again by God's love for us that we would see everything else in line after loving God.

Pray for this for yourself and for everyone in EACF!

I'm praying for you!
- Pastor David
