Forty Days of Prayer Day 18

Let's cover our community with prayer, especially this week outwardly toward the larger community.

1 John 2:10-11 ESV
"Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."

Day 16- Prayer for Our Families
Today we're going to pray for our sphere of influence of the network of relationships that God gave us upon birth - our families. For some this includes your parents and siblings, for others this includes spouse, children, in-laws. In any case, though the words above from 1 John are usually applied to our faith families (do you love people in your church?), they ought also to be applied to our blood families. If you've had a difficult family life, pray for God's grace upon your family relationships. God gave these people to you and vice versa and He may have more in store for you. Pray especially for these relationships to have a spiritual dimension - too often we neglect to pray for and with our blood family members or to even ask how they're doing spiritually. So pray for God's love and presence to be felt in your relationships.

Let's keep praying! I'm praying for you!
